1) Train: Multi-stage centrifugal pump – coupling – electric motor
2) Train: Multi-stage centrifugal pump – coupling – gearbox – coupling – electric motor
2)
Train:
Multi-stage centrifugal pump – high-speed coupling – gearbox – low-speed coupling – electric motor.
Application:
Process or petrochemical industry.
Project extent:
Calculation of torsional natural frequencies and mode shapes of the complete train.
Elaboration of Campbell diagram.
Prediction of resonance speeds.
Evaluation of separation margins.
Calculation of train response to steady-state and transient torque excitations.
Checking of response loads at both couplings.
Stress analysis of the torsionally weakest shaft sections (pump, gearbox and electric motor).
Main goals:
Meet the requirements determined in the torsional analysis section of standard API 610.
Show that the calculated response loads and stresses at torsionally weakest shaft parts are within the acceptable limits.
